Henderson Morley plc, the AIM quoted
biotechnology company, is pleased to announce the
commencement of the next phase of studies to examine the efficacy of the Koi
Herpes Vaccine candidates. The studies will be examining several advanced
formulations of vaccine, which include several new adjuvant candidates
(compounds added to the vaccine to improve immune responses).
The studies,
which are being completed by a sub-contract facility, will be examining three
different vaccine formulations, and a combination of five different adjuvants,
making ten study groups in total.
The serological
studies that are a crucial and important part of the vaccine development
process (to enable assessment of immune responses) have been further optimised
and validated to support the study.
It is
anticipated that the results of this study will be available by July 2009, and
the results will be submitted to Schering Plough Animal health under the terms
of the collaborative research and option agreement. |
