Herpes Simplex Vaccine
With approximately one adult in five in the US infected with herpes simplex type 2 (the cause of genital herpes) there is a considerable unmet medical need for a vaccine against herpes simplex.

As both PREPS and L-particles are derived from the herpes simplex virus, they carry all of the necessary antigens to generate a complex immune response. Pre-clinical studies are underway to examine both PREPS and L-particles as vaccine candidates against herpes simplex.
